Starbound Relay is a management sim about moving things across a galaxy efficiently, and if that sentence excites you, this is your game of the year. Its economy is a web of interlocking dependencies, and watching a supply chain you designed finally hum along is a specific, potent joy.
It is also unapologetically difficult to learn, with in-game guidance that stops well short of enough. The climb is steep. For the right player, though, the view from the top is worth every hour.
