Chromatic Drift understands the one thing an arcade racer must get right: the feeling of speed. Its handling is immediate and forgiving, its soundtrack is genuinely excellent, and its neon-soaked tracks are a joy in short bursts.
The trouble is longevity. The career mode is thin and the track roster repeats itself sooner than it should. As a pick-up-and-play racer it is a delight; as a main course it leaves you wanting more.
